History
History of the campus and area
An Honorable Past
The Stuart Robinson School (SRS) was built in the early 1900's as a Presbyterian boarding school and continues its tradition of bringing glory to God. The last graduating class of SRS was in 1956. The SRS Alumni continue their gracious support of Calvary Campus.
Calvary College and Calvary Christian Academy began ministering to the Christian educational needs of the area in 1965 wiith the Academy remaining open until May 2003. The Calvary Alumni continue their gracious support and sponsorship of Calvary Campus.
Calvary Campus strives to insure that we continue to glorify God as we move in new directions.
An Exciting Present and Future
Calvary Campus is a ministry in transition, focused on serving the local area churches and communities. The primary areas of service and ministry we'll focus on are:
Camp, Conference and Retreat Center -
This will involve camps in the summer time, conferences, marriage weekends and special retreats, seminars and training events.
Community Family Life Center -
With the Family Life center under renovation we hope to soon offer basketball and other sports leagues, and equestrian ministry, health and wellness center, teen recreation center and other family oriented activities.
Mission Partnership Center -
Most of the mission teams that have served here recently worked on renovation projects on the Campus. As more of these projects are completed, we will send more of the teams out into the community to serve through home repair, roof replacement, building handicapped ramps, and other service based ministries.
If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding pace to serve God, then look no further. The Lord is moving in mighty ways in the Appalachian Mountains, and if your desire is to be a part of his work here, please give us a call.
